(parish priest, tortured, throat cut in 1927)

St. David Galvan Bermudez

 (priest, seminary instructor, shot by firing squad in 1915)

St. Jenaro Sanchez Delgadillo

(parish priest, hanged from a tree in 1927)

  1. Thank you for this list. I’ve been reading though the lives of the Cristeros and the details of their deaths are very striking. “Por Dios vivimos y por Él morimos.” (“For God we live and for Him we die.”) + St. Agustín Caloca Cortés.

    It’d be interesting to know whose other relics were present at the ceremony; I remember mention of St. Anne, St. Thomas of Canterbury, and (I think) St. John Vianney.
