While the Latin of the old Mass may not be readily understood by many, language is only one of several instructive components in liturgy. In the old Mass, all senses are employed in worship, and we worship not only with our intellect and understanding, but with faith. St. Anselm said that he believed in ORDER to understand, and Christianity IS a MYSTERY religion.

The old Latin Mass connects us to tradition and to our ancestors, and it is full of symbolism which often cuts directly to the heart and soul. All face the altar together with priest at the front of the assembly, leading. The Mass is not something that we devised to give to God. It is something that God gave to us. For centuries, wise men and fools attended the same Mass and were equally edified, regardless of intellect.
