HRH the Infante Don Carlos, Duke of Calabria and Grand Master
Rome – A Mass is being organized by the Spanish branch of the Constantinian Knights of Saint George in celebration of their patronal feast day. On Wednesday, April 23, a Pontifical Mass will be sung in Rome by Darío Cardinal Castrillón Hoyos, Grand Prior of the Order according to the usus antiquior at the Church of Santa Croce off Via Flaminia (Via Guido Reni). TRH the Infante Don Carlos, Duke of Calabria, Grand Master, and HRH the Duchess of Calabria, accompanied by TRH the Duke and Duchess of Noto, will attend the Pontifical High Mass The parish, built in 1913 under the reign of Pius X, is a twentieth century remake of a Medieval Roman church.
The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George is an Order of Chivalry which, from its earliest origins, has supported the glorification of the Cross, the propaganda of the Faith and the defense of the Holy Roman Church. It is not only required that the Knights should lead the lives of perfect Christians but that they must participate in every manifestation which contributes to the development of the principles of religion among people and co-operate with all who revive the practice of Christianity. The Order is dedicated to two great social works, hospital assistance and charity.
