I have been critical of the late pope for his inaction particularly in the Americas and its up to bishops like Burke to clea it up.

However, I also wonder if the pope had taken direct action as Archbishop Burke is doing, would we be living with trying to heal a large schism rather then a few priests like Fr. Bozek?

In the balance I don’t know the answer. My gut says confront the issue, but recognzie that this is not always best. It’s hard for me to understand a lay board refusing to comply with the directives either.
